The Serials Department Acquisitions section orders library materials in various formats that are requested by the Collection Management Division using the Endeavor Voyager Library Management System. Serials Acquisitions also receives and processes these materials: periodicals, annuals and irregulars, standing orders, microfiche and microfilm, CD-ROMs, electronic journals, and online databases. This Section claims outstanding issues and volumes, and pays invoices for all materials received in the department.
Serials Acquisitions is staffed by 3.5 full-time library assistants who report directly to the Serials Acquisitions section supervisor.
