How to Schedule Scans

1. Run Spybot - Search & Destroy. Under the Mode menu, switch to Advanced Mode.

You will receive the following warning: Click Yes.

2. Click the Settings bar. 3. Click the Scheduler tab.

Note: The Scheduler page allows you to add an entry to the Windows scheduler that automatically runs Spybot-S&D.

4. To schedule a periodic scan of your computer for spyware and adware, click Add.

5. Select the following options: Fix problems after scheduled scan and Close program after finished schedule.

6. Click on Edit to modify the frequency and time of the scheduled scan:

7. On the Schedule Tab, click New.

8. Change the schedule to the desired frequency/time, then click OK.

Note: The default schedule is daily at 9:00AM. You can change this time to suit your needs.

9. At the prompt to Set Account Information enter and confirm your password, then click OK.

Note: By default, the user account you are currently logged into is selected.

10. Under the Mode menu, switch back to Default Mode. Exit the program.

You’re finished! Spybot - S&D is regularly scheduled to scan and rid your PC of spyware.
