Each
department in the library has a PC Liaison. Liaisons
help make IT support of the library's large staff possible by
supplementing the support offered by NULIT staff. Liaisons:
- Support their
departments in the basic computing areas in which they receive training
from LITSS
- Follow up in
their departments regarding all messages sent on the IT-Announce
mailing list
- Communicate
to NULIT their department's training or support needs
Your
department's PC Liaison is often the first source of support
to which you might turn with an everyday computing question. To get
an idea of how your liaison can help see:
Each Liaison has
differing skill levels and areas of expertise and will refer you to
NULIT if they cannot answer a question. Library staff are not required
to take every computing question or concern to their PC Liaison. Staff
should always feel free to contact the Virtual
Help Desk or call the Help Desk at 847-491-8385 for support.
