There are several indexes used to organize the ARC
procedures. The two major ones are the Acquisitions
Procedures Index (or AcqIndex) and the Cataloging
Procedures Index (or CatIndex). Within the CatIndex there are several
other indexes, including the Africana
Procedures Index (AfrIndex), the Multi-Volume
Set Procedures Index (MvsIndex), the Video
Procedures Index (or VidIndex), and the Volume
Holdings Procedures Index (VhldIndex).
To aid in site navigation, buttons have been devised
for each index listed above. The buttons have been color-coded in the
designated library site colors to help in ease of identification. Each
procedural web page should have appropriate index buttons located in the
upper right hand area of the page above the title.
The table below lists the major indexes with their respective
buttons, along with a short explanation of what can be found in each and
the status of that particular index.

Covers how and when to create/update volume holdings
for sso's and mvsets. Includes many examples. Fairly up-to-date. |
Minor indexes, like the Series
index, do not have buttons assigned to them at this
time.
